Part 2 of this 3-part video series on creating a great business plan builds off of the idea discussed in part 1, “Identifying What You Want”, that you should be creating your business plan around the life you want to live vs. living your life around your business.

In the video, Jamie and Matt discuss that In order to live a truly remarkable life, real estate agents must implement leverage so that they can focus on the things that are going to deliver the most value to their clients. Some of these would include, staying abreast to economic and market trends, building strong relationships, and executing transactions at the highest level of professionalism.

Many real estate agents make the mistake of focusing too much of their time on things like designing their own brochures, handling their own marketing, etc. This will likely make it impossible for them to complete the activities in their business plan in order to live the life that they have identified as the one they want to live. In doing so, they are spreading themselves too thin, and not allocating their time appropriately to the things that build value as an agent.
